I love Saturdays! It’s only 8:15am and I’ve already done a 3 mile loop around the neighborhood. Wellll, 2.82 according to Map my Run but I haven’t run outside in weeks so that was a good start. Running outside is SO much different than running on a treadmill. I had never run this route before, Jeff and I did walk it a few weeks ago so I could scope it out, but still, walking isn’t running. I didnt realize until I was on my way back just how uphill the first half of the run was! I just figured I was out of shape and kicking myself for not eating at least a bite or two of food before heading out. But as usual, I feel great to have gone out and now it’s behind me and I can enjoy the day.
When I got home I straightened up the house a bit and had a quick yogurt. I had no fruit or granola so I just ate it plain. :( That’s fine though, I just needed something for recovery and to get me through to later this morning. Today is Jeff sister, Kate’s baby show so I know there’ll be plenty of food around and about.
Then I made myself a coffee (so necessary!) using the last of my Tully’s French Roast. I added my usual Almond Milk and a little white sugar.
Now I have to run to get ready for the shower! I definitely plan on baking later today…something to do with Boston and pie…so recipe will be coming soon on that!
